For our client, we are looking for a talented finance professional to join a newly established accounting team. In this role, you will support international insurance operations, focusing on IFRS and Solvency II standards. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance within a dynamic, collaborative environment.︎︋︄︀︃️︆︍

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 17, and regulatory accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP GL) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent English (B2/C1 level) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review journal entries for both technical and non-technical transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
• Manage cash settlement processes and month-end/year-end closing activities in accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
• Lead reconciliations for intercompany accounts, bank statements, and general ledger, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare analysis memos on financial transactions, claims movements, and other technical accounting items.
• Generate reports and perform in-depth analysis on FX movements, tax balances, and expense trends.
• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and addressing queries.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
